Tuesday, October 13th, 1998: It was a season to remember for Eric Crozier. He was one of the most dangerous men in the league when he had a bat in his hand, and the Pacific Coast League announced today that he has won the Outstanding Hitter Award for 1998.
The Louisville first baseman dominated opposing pitchers with a .331 batting average, 13 doubles, 1 triple, 50 home runs and 107 RBIs while compiling a .431 on-base percentage and scoring 85 runs. |

Tuesday, October 13th, 1998: Victor Martinez, Albuquerque's outstanding catcher, took home the International League Outstanding Hitter Award for 1998.
This season he put up some strong stats, including a .349 batting average and a .412 on-base percentage. In 120 games he piled up 162 hits, 23 doubles, 2 triples, 36 home runs, 102 RBIs and scored 84 times. |

Monday, October 12th, 1998: Ryan Franklin of the Gwinnett Braves is in the spotlight today. The bullpen ace was named as the #1 pitcher in the Pacific Coast League and will receive the 1998 Outstanding Pitcher Award.
He compiled a 15-1 record and an ERA of 2.97 in 145.2 innings with 92 strikeouts. Franklin nailed down no saves in no save opportunities. |
