Bohn Rewarded with 1998 SL2 Outstanding Hitter Award
Saturday, October 10th, 1998: T.j. Bohn of the Boise Hawks proved that you can step out of the shadows and onto the stage if you've got the talent and the drive to hone your skills. Hard work, long hours and a tireless resolve paid off for him today in the form of the AzL Outstanding Hitter Award.

Bohn hit for a .404 average while collecting 55 hits, 5 doubles, 1 triple, 12 home runs, 30 RBIs and scoring 31 times.
Ortega Named 1998 ApL Outstanding Hitter Award Winner
Saturday, October 10th, 1998: Bill Ortega of the Vermont Lake Monsters had a fine season this year and today he accepted the Outstanding Hitter Award for 1998.

The 23-year-old first baseman put up a .341 average and a .422 on-base percentage, piling up 92 hits, 37 doubles, 1 triple, 9 home runs, 36 RBIs and 34 runs scored.
